LATEST NEWS: An order has been placed with the Whitechapel Bell Foundry to cast and install the bells, although £20,000 is still required to complete the appeal. Permission to begin the work has been received from the Diocese of London and this is due to start in August. Bells are due to be cast in the autumn of 2008 and the 12 bells are to be blessed on the floor of the church on Tuesday 3rd March 2009. All being well, they will be ringing from the tower in time for Easter 2009. Meanwhile fundraising continues apace. A copy of the Appeal Leaflet may be downloaded. The Trustee Secretary is Dickon Love, who would be happy to discuss further details. Read about the background to this project. |
